An International Conference was held in Ankara, organized by the Middle East Technical University (METU) Science and Technology Policy Studies Research Center, under the main sponsorship of BSH Profilo Elektrikli Gereçler Sanayi A.Ş., with the participation of experts and authorities from Turkey and abroad. Deniz Çelikel attended the conference held at METU and shared her knowledge.
The opening remarks of the conference, held at the METU Culture and Convention Center, were delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erkan Erdil (Science and Technology Policy Studies Research Center), former METU faculty member and CHP Ankara MP Prof. Dr. Yakup Kepenek, President of the Turkish Patent Institute Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Balcı, METU Rector Ural Akbulut, and AKP Ankara MP Reha Denemeç.
With the participation of our founder Deniz Çelikel, presentations on “Intellectual Property Legislation in the European Union in Terms of Technological and Economic Development,” “The World Bank’s Activities on Technology Development,” “WIPO’s Activities on Technological Development at the International Level,” “The Role of the European Patent Office in Supporting Innovations and Inventions,” and “Strategic Analysis and Economic Studies Audit Office” gave participants detailed information about examples and studies from around the world.
